Privacy Policy
This policy explains how LinkTown (linktown.sg) collects, uses and protects personal data, in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). Last updated: 29 September 2026.
What we collect
- Messages you send us. If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, the topic and page you chose, your message and the time you agreed to this policy. If you contact us by WhatsApp or email, we receive your name, phone number or email address and whatever you choose to tell us.
- Spam protection. The contact form briefly records a one-way hash of your connection’s IP address to limit repeated submissions. It is deleted automatically within an hour.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful. It collects information such as the pages you visit, the device and browser you use, your approximate location (city level) and how you arrived at the site. It uses cookies and does not tell us who you are.
We do not run accounts or comments on this site, and we do not sell personal data.
How we use it
- To reply to your message, to send you an automatic copy of it, and, where you have sent a tip or correction, to update the guide.
- To improve the site based on aggregated, anonymous usage.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google’s opt-out add-on. The site works without them.
Third parties
Analytics data is processed by Google. WhatsApp messages are handled by WhatsApp (Meta). Contact form messages are stored on our website host and delivered to our mailbox by our email provider. Links to other websites, such as government agencies and operators, are governed by those sites’ own policies.
Retention and your rights
We keep messages only as long as we need them to respond and to keep the guide accurate. You may ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or withdraw consent to its use.
